Alex Cheung applies a "wholistic" approach to the course curriculum. Programs are based on a balance between techniques and application of the techniques to music that students can relate to. FUN is always an essential element of the programs. Workshops from beginners to advanced levels include violin techniques, music theory, music composition, arrangements and improvisation skills. Educational music games will be incorporated at various stages of the programs. Private and group lessons are offered. A wide range of musical styles are available, e.g. classical, swing/jazz, folk, Celtic and pop/rock.
Other
services provided by Alex Cheung include music composition, music arrangements and live performances. Such performances may include music for wedding and receptions, special occasions such as Canada Day celebrations, Canadian Music Week, music festivals as well as freelance/session work.
